Um Zensurbestrebungen entgegenzuwirken, dürfen praktisch alle Inhalte vom Parteibuch beliebig weiterverbreitet werden. Damit der Export zukünftig auch im Parteibuch Wiki, das inzwischen stolze 1402 Seiten Umfang hat, einfacher wird, wurde im Parteibuch Wiki soeben auf die neueste MediaWiki Version, nämlich Version 1.11.0 eingespielt.
Einfacher dürfte es mit der neuen Version auch werden, Extensions von MediaWiki zu verwenden, so dass zukünftig hoffentlich auch Artikel aus der Wikipedia praktisch 1:1 als Grundlage für Parteibuch Artikel verwendet werden können, was insbesondere dann sinnvoll scheint, wenn kritische Wikipedia Artikel Opfer von PR-Attacken, Editwars oder Löschungen zu werden drohen.
Seit der Version 1.4, auf der das Parteibuch Wiki bisher lief, hat sich eine ganze Menge geändert, so dass es hier und da möglicherweise noch etwas hakelt oder auf Spezialseiten anstelle von Parteibuch Texten MediaWiki-Standardtexte angezeigt werden, aber die bisherigen URLs und die wesentlichen Funktionen sollten mit der neuen Version bereits funktionieren. Falls jemand den einen oder anderen Fehler im neuen Parteibuch Wiki finden sollte oder bestimmte Wünsche für Verbesserungen hat, würde die Redaktion sich über einen Kommentar freuen.
PS: Falls jemand auch mal Lust bekommen sollte, MediaWiki 1.11 zu installieren oder auf MediaWiki 1.11 updaten will und dabei Short URLs verwendet, so sei ihm das Manual:Short URL/Problems with MediaWiki 1.11 wärmstens empfohlen.

What about an English edition of the Parteibuch Wiki? So we could inform the world in the English-language about what is going on in Germany.

It’s a nice idea to build up a catty wiki on German stuff in English language. I may add one to my site - though I fear, I might not have much time to fill it with catty stuff. My blog’s already going slow motion. Anyway, it’s a good idea, even if the wiki won’t have lot’s of pages and visitor it’s export might be used as a basis for other people setting up a wiki with a bit more power.

Hello cat, thank you a lot for setting up the wiki in the English-language. In my opinion, it is necessary to prepare the next step (first step was: German language, second step should be: English-language). Why? Because a lot of the people in the world who are using the Internet are capable of the English-language. And we shouldn’t exclude them. So thank you, cat.
